How To Add A Device To The Amcrest View Pro 2 App Using Ethernet Wi-Fi Setup.

Ethernet Wi-Fi allows a Wi-Fi camera to be added into the app using an Ethernet cable. Please note, this is for Wi-Fi cameras only and should be used as a secondary method for adding your Wi-Fi camera into the app.

Before proceeding, connect your Wi-Fi camera to your network using an Ethernet cable. Apply power and to the device and wait for the camera to boot. The camera and your mobile device should be connected to the same network during this process. For more information please refer to the information provided below. 

Step 1: Open the app and tap Add Device. Select Scan QR Code P2P

Step 2: Scan the QR code from the camera or manually enter the device's serial number into the Enter camera S/N (serial number) field. 

Step 3: Tap WiFi Camera

Step 4: Tap Ethernet WiFi Setup

Step 5: Tap Next twice to confirm your camera has been properly connected and ready to connect. 

Note: If you are using a WiFi camera that does not require connecting to a hotspot, proceed to step 7. 

Step 6: If using a camera that requires connecting to a hotspot, allow all permissions. If using an Android, tap Connect to Hotspot and connect to the SSID manually. Enter admin into the Password field, Tap Next

Step 7: Select your WiFi network. Enter the password for your WiFi network and tap Next. Allow the camera to connect to the network. 

Step 8: Remove the Ethernet cable from the camera and wait 30 seconds. Tap Start Live View

Step 9: Enter a name for the device in the Device Name field. Enter the default password for the camera in the Password field. The default password will be admin. Tap Save

Step 10: Enter the default password into the Old Password field, enter a new password for the camera into the New Password field and confirm. Tap Save to add the camera to the app.
