The settings menu allows the user to view and access general app settings. For more information on how the settings provided in this menu, please refer to the information provided below.
Tap the Settings icon provided in the bottom banner of the app.
Settings
The settings menu allows the user to set PTZ speed, snapshot frequency, noise reduction, hard decoding, and post event recording.
Tap the PTZ Speed option to control the PTZ speed in the app if a PTZ device is connected. PTZ speeds can range from 1, being the lowest, to 8, being the fastest. Select a PTZ speed to apply an option.
Tap Snapshot Frequency to set the number of snapshots that are stored once a manual snapshot is taken. Please note, these images can be found in the Picture tab in the File menu. The number of snapshots can range from 1, 3 or 5 snapshots. Select a snapshot frequency to apply an option.
Tap Noise Reduction to set the noise reduction levels of all connected devices in the app. Noise reduction levels can range between 1 - 5. Noise reduction can also be disabled by selecting No NR.
Tap the Hard Decoding option to enable or disable hard decoding. This option allows your mobile device's GPU to decode your camera, please note, this may drain your mobile device's battery faster if enabled.
Tap Post Event Recording to set the post recording option for the app. With post event recording, once a motion is detected the recording will continue to record for the duration chosen. This can range from 10 seconds - 5 minutes.
General
The General menu allows the user to access the ability to control play live view when not on Wi-Fi, light/dark mode, clear cache, and access the Amcrest Cloud.
Tap Play Live View when not on Wi-Fi to allow the app to play the live view feed when your mobile device is not on your local Wi-Fi network. This will be enabled by default, however, can be disabled if needed.
Tap Light/Dark Mode to set the app into light or dark mode. Changing from light to dark mode will require the app to restart. Tap OK to change light or dark modes.
Tap Clear Cache to remove the cache retained by the Amcrest View Pro 2 app. Select the clear cache option, tap OK to clear the cache.
Tap Cloud Access to be directed to https://amcrest.com/cloud
Region
Tap the Region setting to change or modify the location settings of the app.
Support
Tap the Support option to be directed to https://amcrest.com/support
About
Tap the About option to display the version, build date, privacy agreement, and app disclaimer.
