How to Perform a Factory Reset (Battery Camera)
A factory reset will revert your device back to its original factory default settings. To factory reset your device you will need to locate the reset button on the back of your Smart Hub. A pin or similar object will be needed to perform this procedure. For more information on how to factory reset your device please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Delete your device from the Amcrest Smart Home app. To delete your device:
- Log into your Amcrest Smart Home app and select your device from the Devices menu.
- Tap on the Settings (
) icon.
- Tap on Delete Device
- If you wish to retain your any recordings, tap "Keep Recordings". Tap on Delete.
- Close the app.
Step 2: Locate the reset button on the back of your Smart Hub.
Step 3: Insert the pin, or similar device, into the reset hole.
Step 3: Press and hold the reset button for 45 seconds allowing the Smart to reset. The LED on the Smart Hub will flash indicating the device is resetting. Once the flashing has stopped the hard reset is complete.
Note: Once the device has been factory reset all settings will be lost and the username and password will return to admin and your device can be added back into the app. For more information on how to add your device to the Amcrest Smart Home app, click here.
