How To Set A Fire Detection Rule On An Amcrest Thermal Camera (TC-1241EW-AI)

The fire detection feature allows the camera to detect high levels of heat caused by a fire or flame in the area or set region. Once detected an alarm or notification will be sent. The fire detection rule does not require a smart plan to function. However, it is recommended to face the camera in a direction in which a high heat source or flame may be present.

Step 1: Log into the web user interface (web UI) for your camera. For more information on how to access the web UI for your camera click here

Step 2: Navigate to Setup>>Smart Thermal>>Fire Detection. Click Enable.

Note: Anti-jamming: Only detect objects with high temperatures that are newly discovered by the camera. This means when using anti-jamming mode, an object with a constant high temperature, such as a boiler for example, will be excluded from the rule. High Response: The camera will detect any hidden fire danger and send an alert.

Step 3: If multiple detection regions need to be applied, use the color-coded options in the region section, then use your mouse to apply them to the screen.

Step 4: Select any additional options such as send email, siren, or warning light that will be activated once the rule has been triggered. Click Save to apply the rule.
