Note: A tripwire rule can be set on either the visual channel (channel 1) or thermal channel (channel 2).

Setting Up a Tripwire Rule

Step 3: Click on the IVS option in the Event menu then click on the ( + ) icon to add the rule. Select Tripwire from the Rule Type menu.  Use your mouse on the tripwire line to set a detection line.

Step 4: In the Direction menu, choose which direction the object will be going for the tripwire to be triggered. An optional object filter can be set for tripwire that will allow the rule only to be triggered if it detects an effective object such as a human or vehicle. You can choose both filters if needed.

Note: A->B =  Enters, B->A = Exits, A<->B = Enters or Exits.

Step 5: Enable the Record Channel option as well as any other options you would like to set for this option and click Save to save and apply the settings.
