Intrusion allows the camera to trigger an event if an object, such as a human or vehicle, appears or crosses a set intrusion area set by the user. For more information on how to set up an intrusion rule, please refer to the information provided below.
Setting Up an Intrusion Rule
Step 1: Log into the web user interface (web UI) for your camera. For more information on how to access the web UI for your camera click here.
Step 2: In the web UI, click on Setup>>Event>>Smart Plan. Select a channel (visual or thermal) and select IVS, click Save.

Step 3: Click on the IVS option in the Event menu then click on the ( + ) icon to add the rule. Select Intrusion from the Rule Type menu. Use your mouse on the intrusion box and set a detection area.
Step 4: In the Direction menu, choose how the rule will be triggered if the object enters only, exits only, or enters & exits a set region. An optional object filter can be set that will allow the rule only to be triggered if it detects an effective object such as a human or vehicle. You can choose both filters if needed.
Step 5: Enable the Record Channel option as well as any other options you would like to set for this option and click Save to save and apply the settings.
