Once you delete a camera from your Amcrest Cloud account, the recordings for that camera will be deleted as well. This is because the cloud stores recordings on a per-camera basis. There is no way to delete a camera from your account without also deleting the recordings for that camera.
If you want to keep the recordings for a camera that you are deleting, you can export them to your computer before you delete the camera. To do this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log into your cloud account and select the camera from the timeline. Click Download.
Step 2: Click and drag the selection slider on the timeline to select the recordings and click the Download button.
Step 3: A download link will be available from the settings page and will expire in 24 hours. Click OK, then click the Download option provided in the prompt to check the status of the download.
Step 4: Select the Download option provided in the Downloads menu and allow the batch recordings to download. The batched recordings will download to the default location specified in the web browser.
Note: If you would like to download specific events before deleting your camera it is recommended to use the Event Explorer. For more information on the Event Explorer, click here.
Step 5: Once the recordings have been downloaded, select your camera from the timeline and click Delete. This will remove the camera from your Amcrest Cloud account.
Note: Deleting your camera from the cloud will require a reboot of the camera to reconnect to the cloud. This will also permanently delete all media associated with the camera that is being deleted.
