How To Initialize Your Camera and Access the Web User Interface (IP12M-F2380EW)

This camera features the latest in JS technology which allows the camera to be accessed both locally and remotely in most main web browsers. The camera can also be accessed on your mobile device using the Amcrest View Pro, or Amcrest View Pro 2 app, Amcrest Cloud, Blue Iris, etc. Please make sure the device is properly initialized before adding it to any other platforms. 

Web User Interface Access

The camera can be accessed in most mainstream web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc. using the camera’s IP address. Please note, certain AI and other features which require a plugin are not compatible with Mac browsers, they are currently Windows based only. To locate the camera’s IP address is it highly recommended to download our free Amcrest IP Config Tool software. The Amcrest IP Config Tool can be downloaded at the following web page: amcrest.com/downloads

In the All Downloads menu, click on IP Config Software to begin the free download. Once the download has completed installing, locate the IP address associated with the device you would like to view in the browser. Open the web browser and enter this IP address into browser. Press Enter to access the web user interface.

Device Initialization

After accessing the camera in a web UI, the device will need to be initialized. Verify your region settings on the interface, click Next to continue.

Verify the time zone settings. To sync the time & date to your computer’s date & time settings, click Sync to PC. Click Next to continue.

Create a new admin password for your camera. This will be the password to access the device. The password should be between 8 and 32 characters with a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols are recommended when setting up your password. A list of security questions will be provided as well, these questions can be used in the future as a reference to reset your password if it has misplaced or forgotten. Click Next to continue.

The P2P option will be enabled by default. This option allows you to connect your camera to your mobile device using the Amcrest View Pro app which is available in the App Store or Google Play store or by scanning the “Cell Phone Client” QR Code provided. Use the Device SN QR code for quick access to the serial number of your camera. When finished, click Finish to complete the initialization of your camera.

After the device has been initialized you can now access the camera in the web browser. The camera can be accessed in most mainstream web browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, etc. however as previously described, some AI and other features which require a plugin are not compatible on Mac browsers, they are currently Windows based only. Enter the username and password for your camera and click Login.
