This is a common issue with most used or even new microSD cards that are not properly formatted.
A microSD card should be formatted to FAT32 before using it with any Amcrest products. For more information on how to format a microSD card to FAT32, click here.
However, if the microSD card is still being read twice in the web UI, it may need to be properly allocated. This can be resolved using Disk Management on your computer. For more information on how to resolve the issue, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Place the microSD card into a microSD card adapter and insert it into your computer.
Step 2: Open the Disk Management menu and locate the microSD card.
Note: You will notice there are two separate partitions for the microSD card.
Step 3: Left click on the first partition and click Delete Volume.
This will erase all data on this partition, click Yes to proceed.
Step 4: Left click on the second partition and repeat the process as well.
This will unallocate each partition on the microSD card.
Step 5: Left click on the partition and click on New Simple Volume.
Follow the on screen wizard instructions to complete the new simple volume process. Once finished, the microSD card will read as one solid partition.
Step 6: Place the microSD card back into the device. The microSD card will now be read properly in the web UI.
