How To Switch Between Fixed Lens and Pan/Tilt Lens Detection (AL-P402W)

This model has the ability to switch between fixed lens detection (top lens) or pan/tilt (bottom lens) detection. Fixed lens detection will allow the camera to only detect a set area whereas having pan/tilt lens detection allows the camera to focus on specific areas using the PT directional function in the Amcrest Link app.

The camera will be set to detect using the PT lens by default, however, to switch detection lens settings, please refer to the information provided below. 

Step 1: Open the Amcrest Link app and access the settings for your device. 

Step 2: Scroll down and tap Switch Detection Lens. 

This will switch the camera to fixed lens detection, disable this feature again if you would like to switch back to PT lens detection. If using AI tracking for human detection, please make sure the detection lens is set to PT. For more information on AI tracking, click here.
