If the camera is having issues with license plate recognition, please refer to the recommendations provided below.
The license plate is not clear or out of focus.
If the license plate image is not clear it is recommended to adjust the focal length based on the detection area of the camera. To adjust the focal length, use the zoom and focus options provided in the Config(LPR) menu.
Use the zoom and focus sliders to manually adjust the focal length.
Note: To adjust the focus automatically, click the AutoFocus option and allow the camera to automatically adjust the focal length of the camera.
The license plate is overexposed.
If the license plate image is overexposed, this may be caused by too much light being illuminated by the camera. In this case, it is recommended to adjust the brightness of the white light LEDs. To adjust the brightness of these LEDs, click on Config(LPR) and select Illumination.
Use the General Illumination and Illumination Intensity when Vehicle Pass options as needed. Please note, the illumination intensity when vehicle passes value must be equal to or larger than the General Illumination Intensity value.
Click Save to apply these settings to your camera. Adjust these values according to the detection area.
