A LiftMaster control board is responsible for controlling the motor, sensors, and other components of an access point. An Amcrest LPR camera can be applied to this system and be used as an access control device. This will allow the camera to recognize and identify vehicles both at an entrance or exit to control the opening of the gate.
This guide will provide details on how to set up an Amcrest LPR camera with this system. When setting up the camera, please make sure it is positioned in a direction that will best suit your needs to identify license plate details. For more information, please refer to the details provided below.
Step 1: Unplug the "BATT DC POWER" terminal. Please note, if the terminal is not unplugged the device will report an error.
Step 2: Locate the access control terminal on the LiftMaster control board.
Step 3: Connect a relay wire output from the LPR camera "NO"(Brown wire) and "COM" (Green wire) from the LPR camera to a dry contact input on the control board's "Exit" terminal.
Note: The board can control multiple access devices by connecting additional wire relay output devices if needed.
Step 4: Connect the power terminal and test the relay output device to make sure all functions are working properly.
