The Playback menu allows the user to playback and download recorded video and snapshots that have been saved to a microSD card. Press the Search button to load recordings or snapshots based on a specified date and time.
Viewing a Recording
To view a recording, click on the “All” dropdown menu and select which record type you would like to view. There are several event record types that can be selected including a general record type, which will display all continuous recording events, an Event record type which will display all motion detection and other motion activated recordings, as well as an alarm (external alarm) and manual record types.
Select a record type from this menu and click on the start time option. A calendar will appear, choose a start date of the recording you would like to view then click “Select time”. The default start time will be set to 00:00:00, which is midnight, use the scroll-down options to select the exact hour, minute, and even seconds of the start of the event. In this example, we are using 15:05:02, which is 3:05 pm. Click Ok to set the start time.
Next, click on the end time option. A calendar will appear, choose an end date of the recording you would like to view and click “select time”. The default end time will be set to 23:59:59 which is roughly 1 second before midnight. Use the scroll down options to select the exact hour, minute, and even seconds for the end of the event. In this example, we are using 17:03 which is 5:03pm. Click Ok to set the end time.
Click Search. The interface will display the total number of events within the specified time frame.
To view the event, hover your mouse over the selected event and click the play button. The list of events will be displayed in the left panel and the selected recording will start to play in the interface.
Downloading a Recording
Events can be downloaded directly from the playback interface to your computer. Please note, this can only be done if the .exe plugin has been installed. The interface allows you to download a single event or multiple events if needed, if you would like to download all events, click on the “All” option located next to the total records field.
Note: The .exe plugin must be installed to download recordings from the browser.
To download a recording, select an event ensuring it has a blue checkmark next to the event. After selecting the event, click the Download button to launch the download interface.
The download interface will display the total number of events being downloaded, the event type, the start & end times, the duration of the event as well as the total size (MB) of the event. Click on Browse to select a download path for the events and click Start Download to download the selected events to your computer.
