How to Adjust Motion Detection Settings In the Cloud

Motion detection settings can be adjusted using the Amcrest Cloud. Motion detection settings can be adjusted using a web browser or using the Amcrest Cloud mobile app. For more information on how to adjust motion detection settings using the Amcrest Cloud, please refer to the information provided below. 

Using a Web Browser

Step 1: Please visit, amcrestcloud.com and log into your cloud account. 

Step 2: Hover your mouse over the live view interface and click on the settings icon ( mceclip0.png ) and choose Motion Detection

Step 3: This will allow you to adjust the region, sensitivity, and threshold settings.

Region: The regions settings allow users to set up to 4 regions in which motion detection will be detected on the live view interface. To set the region settings, use your mouse to adjust the area. Different regions will be color coded on the live view screen and can be manually adjusted by the user.

Step 4: Click Save to save and apply the settings to your device. 

Using Amcrest Cloud Mobile app

Step 1: Open the Amcrest Cloud app on your mobile device and tap the device you wish to adjust.

Step 2: Tap on the settings icon ( mceclip2.png ).

Step 3: Scroll down to the Recordings section and tap on "Motion Detection Area".

Step 4: To adjust region settings, use your fingers in the area and pinch. Then using one finger adjust the area on the live view screen. Please note, you can tilt your phone into landscape mode to adjust the boxes more efficiently.

Tap Remove All to set the motion detection area back to its default setting. Use the Sensitivity and threshold sliders to adjust these settings. 

Step 5: Tap the Save icon ( mceclip3.png ) to save these settings.
