Prior to performing a physical, hard factory reset, please make sure the device is powered on. It is recommended to first perform a reset via the web user interface (Web UI) of the camera on a computer. This is useful as well if you do not have direct, physical access to your camera. To perform a physical factory reset to this camera, make sure the device is powered on and follow the instructions provided below.
Note: You will need a Phillips head screwdriver and star tool to complete the reset.
Step 1: Using the provided star tool, loosen the locking pin of the housing and remove the camera.
Step 2: Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the 3 screws on the back of the camera to open.
Step 3: Open the camera and locate the factory reset switch on the motherboard of the camera. The factory reset switch maybe on the top portion of the motherboard as shown in the image below.
Please note, the factory reset switch may also be on the bottom of the motherboard depending on the build of your camera.
Step 4: Press and hold the factory reset switch for 30 seconds allowing the camera to reset. Once reset, the camera will be reverted back to its original factory default settings. The default username and password will be admin.
