How To Add A Camera Into the Amcrest Link App (AL-P402W)

The Amcrest Link app uses Bluetooth to register and bind the camera to your Amcrest Link account. Please make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device before adding a camera into your account. The mobile device should be within proximity to the camera as well while adding to ensure a more successful connection.

The maximum distance for a Bluetooth connection is typically around 30 feet however it is recommended to be as close as possible to the device during setup. The camera can only be accessed on your mobile device using the Amcrest Link mobile app. For more information on how to add your camera into the Amcrest Link app, please refer to the details provided below. 

Step 1: Apply power to the camera and allow it to boot.

Step 2: Wait for camera to boot and the LED to flash blue. The camera will audibly say, “Please use the app for Wi-Fi configuration” when it is finished booting and ready to add to the app.

Step 3: Open the app and log into your account. Tap the “+” icon or “+ Add Device” option to begin adding your camera. If using Android, connect to Bluetooth.

Step 4: Select your camera from the menu and allow the app to search for your device.

Step 5: Select your device, allow all permissions, enter your Wi-Fi network details, and allow the camera to initialize and bind to your account.

Step 6: Enter a name for the camera then click Finish. To add a cloud storge plan to your device, click the Subscribe option and sign up to an optional cloud storage plan.
