How To Set Up A Tour Directly From An Amcrest NVR/DVR

The Tour feature allows you to set multiple locations for the PTZ to cycle through using preset positions. It relies on pre-defined PTZ "presets" to be set within the NVR. These presets are specific positions that you configure your PTZ camera to move to view areas such as the entrance parking lot, etc.

Step 1: Log in to the web user interface (web UI) for your NVR. For more information on how to access the web UI for your camera click here.

Step 2: Open the live view menu, select your PTZ camera, and open the PTZ control menu. This is where you will set your tour presets. Open the PTZ dropdown menu and select Preset

Step 3: Use the PTZ directional options to set your presets. To set a preset, use the provided pan, tilt, and zoom options, name the preset and click Add

Continue adding presets making sure to number each preset as you go.

Step 4: Once all presets have been made open the PTZ dropdown menu and select Tour

Step 5: Click the Start option to start the tour.

The camera will begin moving and patrolling the area using the presets you set in the NVR. To modify or delete a preset, open the preset menu, enter the preset number into the interface and use the provided options to delete or add additional presets for your tour.
