The camera uses a spotlight feature by default which helps to provide color night vision to the camera. This feature can be disabled using the OSD menu on the DVR's local user interface or using a web user interface (web UI) via a web browser. Using the Local UI to Disable Color Night Vision.
Step 1: Select the channel and left click on the live view to view the selection menu. Select PTZ Control.
Step 2: Expand the PTZ control menu and select the Enter Menu icon.
Step 3: This will enter the OSD menu of the camera. The OSD menu provides additional options for your camera and camera settings. Use the PTZ down arrow to select the Light option. The light will be set to Smart Light, click the right PTZ arrow to set the Light option to Off.
Step 4: Use the PTZ down arrow to select Exit. Press Enter to exit.
Step 5: Select Yes and click Enter again to save the OSD settings.
Note: To close the PTZ control menu, right click on the live view interface.
Using the Web UI to Disable Color Night Vision.
Before proceeding, please make sure your DVR and your computer are on the same network.
Step 1: Open a web browser and log into your DVR using its username and password. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.
Step 2: On the main menu, select Live View.
Step 3: Select the channel you would like to adjust and click the PTZ Menu option. Click Open.
Step 4: Click the PTZ down arrow to select the Light option. Once selected, click the right arrow to set the light to Off. Click OK to confirm.
Step 5: Use the PTZ down arrow to select Exit. Click OK.
Step 6: Select Yes and click OK again to save and exit the OSD menu.
