Method 1: Updating Firmware via USB
Note: A USB drive with at least 1GB of storage capacity. A monitor must be applied to the DVR to view the device. The latest firmware file for your Amcrest DVR (downloadable from amcrest.com/firmware)
Step 1: Extract the downloaded firmware file onto the USB drive. The firmware file is usually in a .bin format. Safely connect the USB drive to your Amcrest DVR's USB port.
Step 2: From the main menu click on Maintain. Click on Manager>>Update, then click Update to locate the firmware file.
Step 3: Locate the firmware file on your USB drive and click OK.
