The vehicle detection option will only allow the camera to trigger an event if a vehicle is detected. The option can be used simultaneously with the other detection options provided in the Amcrest Link app if needed. For more information on how to use the vehicle detection option please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Access the Detection Settings menu for your device and select Vehicle Detection.
Step 2: Enable the vehicle detection option.
Step 3: The detection sensitivity options can be set to high, middle, or low if needed. The lowest setting will have the least amount of objects detected, while the highest sensitivity will have more events. It is highly recommended to keep sensitivity as default (middle) for best results.
Set any motion detection schedules if needed. By default, the camera will be set to detect objects continuously (24/7) however a detection schedule can be created within the app to allow the camera to only detect human/motion detection events during a specific day and time.

Step 4: Set and customize any detection zones using the Detection Zone menu. The detection zone menu allows you to set and customize a detection zone for human and motion detection. For more information on detection zones, click here.
Step 5: Enable the Light Activation option to allow the light on the camera to flash or activate once a vehicle is detected. For more information on light settings, click here.
