DVR Not Connecting After an Internet Service Provider Switch?
If you have recently switched internet service providers and are having some issues connecting your DVR to your new network you may need to switch it from having a static IP to a DHCP IP. The static IP address assigned to your DVR may be preventing the device from changing IP addresses even after a reset or power cycle. For more information on how to resolve the issue, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Connect a VGA or HDMI monitor to the back of your DVR and plug a USB mouse into the USB port on the front or back of the device.
Step 2: From the main menu, click on Network
Step 3: In the TCP/IP menu you will notice a DHCP toggle switch. Click the DHCP toggle switch to set your DVR into DHCP mode.
Step 4: Once the DVR has been set to DHCP mode, unplug the device from power leaving the Ethernet cable plugged into your network. Wait for about 30 seconds and plug the power adapter back into the device.
Step 5: Log back into your device and go back to the Network menu. In the TCP/IP menu click on the DHCP toggle switch to set the device back to a static IP. You should be able to access the web user interface using the newly assigned IP address from the network.
