How To Perform a Factory Reset (IP5M-B1186EW-28MM)

Prior to performing a physical, hard factory reset, it is recommended to first perform a reset via the web user interface (Web UI) of the camera on a computer. This is useful as well if you do not have direct, physical access to your camera. For more information on how to perform a factory reset in the web UI of your camera, click here.

To perform a physical factory reset to this camera, follow the instructions provided below. This instruction set is applicable to the following model cameras: 

IP5M-B1186EW-28MM

Note: You will need a Phillips head screwdriver to complete the reset. 

Step 1: Make sure the camera is powered on and using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the panel on the bottom of the camera

Step 2: In the panel you will notice a microSD card slot and a reset switch. To hard factory reset your camera, press and hold the switch down for 30 seconds allowing the camera to reset. 

Once reset, the camera will revert to its original factory settings. The default username and password for the camera will be admin.
