How to Perform a Factory Reset (IP4M-1048EW-AI)

Performing a factory reset on your camera will revert the camera back to its original factory default settings. This can be done physically or via the web user interface (web UI) through a web browser on a computer. To perform a physical factory reset to this camera, make sure the device is powered on and follow the instructions provided below.

Note: A Phillips head screwdriver will be needed to complete the factory reset procedure. 

Step 1: Locate the Reset hatch on the top of the camera. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the 2 security screws to open the hatch.

Step 2: Press and hold the Reset button for 30 - 45 seconds allowing the camera to reset.

Step 3: Once the reset of the camera is complete, place the reset hatch back onto the camera and secure it to the camera using a Phillips head screwdriver and security screws.

The camera has now been factory reset and reverted back to its original factory settings. This includes usernames, passwords and other settings. The default username and password is admin.
