The NVR allows you to add cameras quickly and easily into the system. Cameras can be added locally or using the NVR's web user interface (web UI). Amcrest NVRs are compatible with most third party cameras, however, it is highly recommended to use only Amcrest cameras with Amcrest NVRs.
Please make sure the NVR and cameras are on the same network when adding them into the system. For more information on how to add cameras into your NVR, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log into the NVR directly or using the NVR's web user interface (web UI) using a web browser. For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.
Step 2: In the Management section, click Camera.
Step 3: Click Device Search to allow the NVR to search for compatible cameras and refresh the device list. Make sure the "Status" has a green checkmark, select the camera, and click Add.
Step 4: If the status is red it could indicate the camera has not been properly added to the NVR and the password for the camera needs to be updated. Select the device and click the Edit button. Enter the camera's password and click OK. Select the device and click Refresh to verify the camera's connection status. It should be green indicating the camera is properly added to the NVR.
