How To Perform a Factory Reset (NV6864-XI)

Performing a factory reset on your NVR will revert the device back to its original factory settings. To begin, you will need to remove the cover of the NVR to access the motherboard. To remove the cover, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the cover screws. Once the screws have been removed, remove the lid and locate the factory reset button. 

While the NVR is on, press and hold the reset button and turn the NVR off. Continue holding the factory reset switch, continue holding the reset switch and turn the device back on. Continue holding the reset button and allow the device to initialize, once you hear the beep, release the factory reset button. When complete the NVR will be reset to its original factory settings allowing you to initialize the device.
