Video metadata is used to detect and retain specified object types such as people, non-motor vehicles, and motor vehicles. Video metadata is typically used in conjunction with the video metadata option in the live view menu and other various metadata options such as structured statistic overlays and video metadata reports.
Video metadata can be set up using either a global or manual preset, however, it is highly recommended to enable a manual preset and smart plan.
Step 1: Open a web user interface (Web UI) of your device and log in. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.
Step 2: Access the main menu and click on AI. Click "Please add a preset first".
Note: If a preset is already established, click +Preset to add an additional preset.
Step 3: Click Add Preset and use the PTZ directional arrows to set a PTZ preset if needed. Click the Apply icon to save the preset then click OK.
Step 4: Click + Preset and add the preset into the interface. Select the Video Metadata option and click Next.
Step 5: Select Video Metadata.
Step 6: Click Add Rule and add any applicable metadata options.
