How To Use An Abandoned Object Rule On An Amcrest Camera (IP4M-1093EW-AI-V2)

The abandoned object rule allows the camera to trigger an event if an object is placed in a set area for a specified amount of time. This is useful to keep track of certain areas in which objects are not to be placed. For more information on how to setup an abandoned object rule, please refer to the information provided below. 

Step 1: Open a web user interface (Web UI) of your device and log in. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.

Step 2: Access the main menu and click on AI. Click "Please add a preset first".

Note: If a preset is already established, click +Preset to add an additional preset. 

Step 3: Click Add Preset and use the PTZ directional arrows to set a PTZ preset if needed. Click the Apply icon to save the preset then click OK

Step 4: Click + Preset and add the preset into the interface. Select the IVS option and click Next

Step 5: Click IVS.

Step 6: Click Add Rule and select Abandoned Object from the dropdown menu. Use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface.

By default the rule will be set to trigger if an object is within the detection area for a duration of 10 seconds. However, you can adjust the duration if needed from 6 - 3600 seconds.

Note: This camera also supports Auto Tracking. This will allow the camera to automatically track the object until it is no longer visible in the detection area. Step 7: Click Record to retain events to a microSD card. This will allow you to view IVS events in the playback menu. Select any additional options, such as a siren, which will allow the camera to produce an audible siren, or email to send a notification of the event to an entered email address.
