How To Setup A Loitering Detection Rule On An Amcrest Camera (IP8M-FCT2999EW-AI)

Loitering Detection is used to detect if a person or group are loitering in a specific area set by the user. After adding the rule, the interface will display the rule as enabled, use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface. Step 1: Open a web user interface (Web UI) of your device and log in. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.

Step 2: Access the main menu and click on AI. Select a General or Schedule plan, if you would like more information on how different intelligence modes work on your camera, click here.

Step 3: Click Next. Select IVS from the Smart Plan menu and click Next

Step 4: Click Add Rule and select Loitering Detection from the dropdown menu. Use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface. The default duration in which the objects can remain in the area will be 5 seconds, however, can range up to 600 seconds if needed. 

Step 5: Click Playback to retain events to a microSD card. This will allow you to view IVS events in the playback menu. Select any additional options, such as a siren, which will allow the camera to produce an audible siren, or email to send a notification of the event to an entered email address.
