How To Setup A Parking Detection Rule On An Amcrest Camera (IP8M-FCT2999EW-AI)

Parking Detection allows the camera to trigger an event if an object, such as a motor vehicle is parked in a set area for a specified amount of time. After adding the rule, the interface will display the rule as enabled, use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface. Step 1: Open a web user interface (Web UI) of your device and log in. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.

Step 2: Access the main menu and click on AI. Select a General or Schedule plan, if you would like more information on how different intelligence modes work on your camera, click here.

Step 3: Click Next. Select IVS from the Smart Plan menu and click Next. 

Step 4: Click Add Rule and select Parking Detection from the dropdown menu. Use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface. The default duration in which the object can stay in the detection area is 6 seconds, however, can range up to 300 seconds if needed. 

Step 5: Click Playback to retain events to a microSD card. This will allow you to view IVS events in the playback menu. Select any additional options, such as a siren, which will allow the camera to produce an audible siren, or email to send a notification of the event to an entered email address.
