Tripwire allows the camera to trigger an event if an object crosses a set tripwire line. Please note, IVS features do not support effect objection rules such as human filtering. Human detection will need to be setup separately from IVS and will not apply to any perimeter rules set by the user. Setting Up a Tripwire Rule
Step 1: Log into the web user interface (web UI) for your camera. For more information on how to access the web UI for your camera click here
Step 2: In the web UI, click on Setup>>Event>>Smart Plan. Click on the IVS icon and click Save.
Note: If a Smart Plan is not enabled properly on your camera IVS features will not work. Please make sure to enable the Smart Plan feature before continuing.

Step 3: Click on the IVS option in the Event menu then click on the ( + ) icon to add the rule. Select Tripwire from the Rule Type menu. Then click on Draw Rule to begin drawing the tripwire line on the interface. Use your mouse to draw a line in the interface. Right click on the interface when done to set the line.
Step 4: In the Direction menu, choose which direction the object will be going for the tripwire to be triggered.
Note: A->B = Enters, B->A = Exits, A<->B = Enters or Exits. If you would like an snapshot of the event to be emailed, click Send Email. If a PTZ preset will be activated once the rule is triggered, click PTZ, then select Preset from the dropdown menu.
Step 5: Ensure the Record option is enabled. If you would like the siren or warning light to be activated once the rule is triggered, select Siren Activation and Warning Light. Click Save to save and apply the settings.
