There are 2 ways to add a camera into Blue Iris 5. You can right click on the main menu, or click on the settings menu ( )in the top-left corner of the interface.
Step 1: Right-click on the main interface or click on the settings menu () to access the "New camera" menu. Give your camera a name, a short name (for URLs and filenames), choose a type (Network IP), and enable any options such as, enabling audio, motion detection, etc. Click OK to continue.
Step 2: Enter the IP address of the camera and click Find/Inspect...
Step 3: Enter the password for your camera and select Helix Security as the Make. Enter the camera number and verify the stream is correct (1) and click OK.
Step 4: Verify all settings and click OK.
