How to Use AI Smart Motion Detection (SMD) for Vehicle Detection and Human Detection (IP8M-TD2685EW-AI)

Smart Motion Detection (SMD) uses an advanced algorithm to differentiate between human and motor vehicle shapes within a scene and send alarms only when a person or vehicle is detected. Step 1: Log in to the web user interface (web UI) for your camera. For more information on how to access the web UI for your camera click here

Step 2: Click on Setup>>Event>>Smart Motion Detection and click Enable. 

Step 3: Use the effective object filter options to allow the device to detect between human or motor vehicles. Both filters can be enabled at the same time if needed to better detect a motion event. Click the Record checkbox to allow the rule to be recorded and click Save. 

Note: If you would like a snapshot of the event emailed to you once it has been detected by the camera, click on the Send Email checkbox. Enabling and Disabling the Siren and White Light Deterrent

This camera comes equipped with built-in deterrents which can be enabled to trigger when a smart motion event occurs. This includes a built-in siren and spotlight. The spotlight has multiple modes such as "Flicker" which will allow the light to flash when a smart motion event occurs, and a "Normally on" mode which will allow the spotlight to remain solid when activated. The length of time in which these actions will occur can be modified using the Duration option. The duration of each deterrent can be set between 5 and 30 seconds.

To activate a deterrent, select Siren or White Light, and verify the duration. Click Save when finished to apply the function.
