How To Change a SIM Card

Your GPS tracker will come preinstalled with a SIM card. To change or replace the included SIM card for your Amcrest 2G GPS tracker, please refer to the procedures provided below. 

Note: You can use the included Phillips head screwdriver that came with your device to access the SIM card port on the left side of your device.

Step 1: Locate the SIM card port on the left side of your GPS tracker and unscrew the 2 screws with included screwdriver. 

Note: Be careful not to strip the screws and ensure the O rings on the screws are in tact on the screw.

Step 2: Remove the SIM card tray from the side of the GPS to access the SIM card.

Step 3: Remove the previously installed SIM card from the SIM card tray and place the new SIM card face up into the tray. 

Step 4: Insert the SIM card tray with SIM card, facing down, back into the SIM card port on the GPS tracker. 

Step 6: Using the Phillips head screwdriver and included screws, firmly secure the SIM card tray to the GPS tracker. 

Note: Be careful not to strip the screws and ensure the O rings on the screws are in tact on the screw before securing them to the device.
