How The Live View Menu Works On An Amcrest License Plate Reader Camera (IP4M-1062EW-AI)

By default, the interface opens to the Live tab. The live view tab allows the user to see the live feed of the camera as well as provides an area to view real time metadata captured by the camera and adjust configuration settings.

 

Note: LPR configurations and settings can only be set in the web user interface using a web browser. For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here. 

 

Below is a description of the features provided in this menu. 

 

Mainstream: Displays the mainstream feed. The default resolution for mainstream is 4MP (2688*1520) @ 25fps)

Sub stream: Displays the sub stream feed. The default resolution for sub stream is704*480 (D1)

Protocol: Display the current TCP/IP protocol, the default protocol is TCP.

Fluency: The larger the fluency of the stream the more delay is present however becomes more fluent.

ANPR: Automatically receives vehicle snapshots and detects event metadata. Must remain enabled.

Manual snapshot: Manually take a snapshot of the feed.

Digital Zoom: Use your mouse to highlight an area of the screen to zoom in on. Only available in IE mode.

Config LPR: Adjust focus, zoom, capture area, and other LPR settings.

W:H: Change the width/height ratio of the live feed.

Image Adjustment: Enlarge to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and hue.

Full Screen: Click to enlarge the live feed to full screen.

Obtain plate Info: Displays the plate number of a selected event.

Real Plate Info: Displays a screen shot of the selected plate.

Index: The event number retained in the interface.

Event type: The type of event retained in the interface (ANRP, Manual, etc.)

Capture Time: The time the event was captured and retained in the system.

Plate: The plate number (text) of the license plate or vehicle detected.

Region: The location of the event that was retained in the system.

Plate Size: The dimensions of the plate that was captured by the camera.

Vehicle Sign: Displays the make of the vehicle detected.

Vehicle Type: Displays whether it was a car, truck, or other vehicle type that was detected.

Configuring LPR Settings. 

Step 1: Click the Config(LPR) icon. You will notice a capture area box, license plate data will be captured in this area of the interface. The capture area is set by default to the recommended area, however, can be adjusted by selecting the area with your mouse and adjusting the four corners of the box. 

Step 2: Use the zoom and focus options if necessary according to the area that is being monitored. 

Step 3: If there are areas of the capture area that need to be excluded, click the Add option located in the Shield Area field. Use your mouse to set a shield area in the capture area overlay. 

Step 4: Click Save to apply the capture settings to the device.
