To setup your camera for continuous (24/7) recording on your computer you will need to have access to the camera's web user interface (web UI). For more information on how to access the web UI for your device click here.
Step 1: Log into the web UI for your device on a laptop or computer.
Step 2: In the web UI, navigate to Setup>>Storage>>Schedule>>Record Schedule and click on Setup.
Note: In the recording schedule menu you will notice the schedule that is currently set for your camera.
Below is a description of the recording types listed in this menu.
- Green: A solid green bar indicates the recording schedule for continuous (Normal) recording.
- Yellow: A solid yellow bar indicates the recording schedule for motion detection recording.
- Red: A solid red bar indicates the recording schedule for any alarms associated with your recording.
Step 3: In the schedule setup menu you will notice a list of periods (schedules) that can be set for your device. There are a total of 6. Select which day of the week you would like to apply your schedule to, and then select the General check box to enable continuous recording.
Note: To have your schedule apply to all days of the week, select the All checkbox. You can also apply the schedules to certain times of the day. Times are specified in military time and are defaulted to 00:00:00 - 23:59:59.
Step 4: Once you have finished setting your continuous recording schedule, make sure to click on the Save button to save and apply your schedule to your device. When complete your schedule should look like this unless otherwise modified:
