How to Use Heat Map (NV4116E-A2, NV4116-A2, NV4108E-A2, NV4108-A2)

Heat Map is a tool used to determine the overall crowd flow (density) over a certain amount of time in a specific area. Heat map provides a color-coded layout of the density with red being the highest level to blue which is the lowest level. Please note, this feature may differ depending on which model camera is being used on the NVR. Not all AI cameras support this feature. Step 1: Open a web browser and access the web user interface (web UI) for your device. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.

Step 2: Ensure the Heat Map icon is enabled in the Smart Plan menu. Click Save

Step 3: Click on the Heat Map option and enable the heat map checkbox to turn on the feature. Click Save

Note: Please allow up to an hour for the system to begin reporting heat map data. A schedule can be set for this feature by clicking on the Setting button in the Schedule field. This will allow the feature only to function during specific times set by the user. 

Viewing Heat Map Data

To view Heat Map data, click on the AI Search option and click on Heat Map. There are 2 tabs, one for general and fisheye event types. Select an event tab and enter a start and end time into the interface and click Search. The heat map period cannot exceed one month of reporting. All heat map data will appear in the interface.

Note: An image or excel sheet of this data can be exported and backed up to a computer if needed. To export the data, click Export and set a file path, then download.
