The features available for use in the NVR, including face detection, will be dependent on the type of camera used during setup as the AI features are controlled by the camera only. The NVR allows the user to implement the AI features from an Amcrest AI camera into the NVR and store the recorded events. For more information on how to set up face detection events on your NVR, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Open a web browser and access the web user interface (web UI) for your device. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.
Step 2: Log into your device and click on AI.
Step 3: Activate the Face Detection smart plan. Please note, this will only be visible if the camera you are using supports this function.
Step 4: Click on the Face Detection option located in the Parameters section and select which channel to configure from the Channel drop-down menu and enable the face detection toggle switch. Click Save.
Note: It is best to leave the Rule settings as default, however, they can be adjusted by clicking on the Setting button. Use your mouse to adjust the minimum (Min) and maximum (Max) size of the face detection area.
Step 5: When triggered, the face detection event will be retained in the face detection smart search menu or snapshots of the event can be emailed to you. To have a snapshot of the event emailed to you, ensure email alerts are set up properly in the NVR and click on the More option located in the face detection menu. Click Send Email then click Save. For more information on how to set up email alerts, click here.
Step 6: Click Save.
