In most cases when a factory reset is required for resolving many different types of issues associated with an HDCVI DVR. Please note, once a factory reset is performed, all settings in the DVR will be lost. Make sure to back up, export/import any desired settings before performing this procedure.

Note: If no button is present then letting system unplugged for 2-3 days should also allow it to initiate the hard factory reset. If the reset went through it should take you to the startup wizard when it boots back up

Factory Reset Procedure:

Step 1: Disconnect the power cord to the DVR. The DVR must continue to be unplugged throughout the process.

Step 2: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The power button is located on the front of the DVR.

Step 3: Wait for a few seconds and repeat step 2 for about 15-20 minutes.
