The camera supports both human and basic motion detection. By default, human detection will be enabled, which allows the camera to only detect when a human is in the detection zone, however, these settings can be adjusted using the Amcrest Link mobile app. For more information on how to adjust detection settings, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Access the Detection Settings menu for your device. To access this menu, locate your device on the home menu and tap Settings.
Step 2: Tap Detection Settings.
Step 3: Use the Human Detection and Motion Detection options to enable or disable these options. Enabling motion detection and human detection together will allow both human and basic motion detection events to be detected by the camera.
The detection sensitivity options can be set to high, middle, or low if needed. The lowest setting will have the least amount of objects detected, while the highest sensitivity will have more events. It is highly recommended to keep sensitivity as default (middle) for best results. The AI tracking feature can also be enabled to allow the camera to track an object once it is detected by the camera until the object is out of frame, for more information on the AI tracking feature, click here.
Step 4: Set any motion detection schedules if needed. By default, the camera will be set to detect objects continuously (24/7) however a detection schedule can be created within the app to allow the camera to only detect human/motion detection events during a specific day and time.

Step 5: Set and customize any detection zones using the Detection Zone menu. The detection zone menu allows you to set and customize a detection zone for human and motion detection. For more information on detection zones, click here.
Step 6: The motion warning menu allows you to set a warning message or greeting to trigger once a motion is detected. For more information on how to set a motion warning, click here.
