How To Use An Abandoned Object Rule On An Amcrest Camera (IP8M-2899EW-AI-V2)

The abandoned object rule allows the camera to trigger an event if an object is placed in a set area for a specified amount of time. This is useful to keep track of certain areas in which objects are not to be placed. For more information on how to setup an abandoned object rule, please refer to the information provided below.

Step 1: Open a web user interface (Web UI) of your device and log in. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.

Note: This camera also supports Auto Tracking. This will allow the camera to automatically track the object until it is no longer visible in the detection area or for a duration of 15-300 seconds.

Step 7: Click Playback to retain events to a microSD card. This will allow you to view IVS events in the playback menu. Select any additional options, such as a siren, which will allow the camera to produce an audible siren, or email to send a notification of the event to an entered email address.
