Face Detection is used to detect face events and receive facial image snapshots. A face detection rule can be applied to a global preset which allows you to not have to configure a preset, or a modified preset set by the user. This article will demonstrate setting up a face detection rule using a user set preset. For more information on how to setup face detection please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Open a web user interface (Web UI) of your device and log in. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.
Step 2: Access the main menu and click on AI. Click "Please add a preset first".
Note: If a preset is already established, click +Preset to add an additional preset.
Step 3: Click Add Preset and use the PTZ directional arrows to set a PTZ preset if needed. Click the Apply icon to save the preset then click OK.
Step 4: Click +Preset and select the created preset. Select Face Detection, then click Next.
Step 5: Click Face Detection.
Step 6: The detection area (yellow square) will be set to full screen by default, however, you can use your mouse to modify the detection area if needed. Click Enable and select OSD Info to ensure the face detection overlay is on the live view screen.
Note: Additional face optimization options, such as face enhancement can be enabled.
Step 7: Click Playback to retain face events to a microSD card. Select any additional options, Send Email to send a notification of the event to an entered email address. For more information on how to setup email alerts, click here. Click Apply when finished.
