How To Use An Parking Detection Rule On An Amcrest Camera (IP4M-1098EW-AI)

Parking Detection allows the camera to trigger an event if an object, such as a motor vehicle is parked in a set area for a specified amount of time. After adding the rule, the interface will display the rule as enabled, use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface. Step 1: Open a web user interface (Web UI) of your device and log in. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.

 

Step 2: Access the main menu and click on AI. Click "Please add a preset first".

Note: If a preset is already established, click +Preset to add an additional preset. 

Step 4: Click Add Preset and use the PTZ directional arrows to set a PTZ preset if needed. Click the Apply icon to save the preset then click OK

Step 5: Click +Preset and select the created preset. Select IVS, then click Next

Step 6: Click IVS.

Step 7: Click Add Rule and select Parking Detection from the dropdown menu. Use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface.

By default the rule will be set to trigger if an object is within the detection area for a duration of 6 seconds. However, you can adjust the duration if needed from 6 - 300 seconds.

Step 8: Click Playback to retain events to a microSD card. This will allow you to view IVS events in the playback menu. Select any additional options, such as a siren, which will allow the camera to produce an audible siren, or email to send a notification of the event to an entered email address.
