1080p HD-CVI Camera Integration

There are several key aspects that come together in synergy which make HDCVI such a truly sensational security camera system. Other than the internal and more subtle technologies, the three main hardware components that comprise the HDCVI experience are the coaxial cables, the DVR, and the cameras. The cameras stand as the primary point of contact between what is actually happening and what is seen on your monitor. FEATURES & BUILD:

These cameras are superbly designed to bring you high definition video and are a huge part of why no other closed-circuit set-up stands a chance. These cameras boast either 1MP, which is capable of 1280x720p HD video recording, or 2.1MP that can shoot video in Full 1920x1080p HD resolution. They have the flexibility to switch between high definition and standard definition to satisfy storage requirements. Each camera comes with built-in IR LEDs which automatically detect light conditions and can shoot at night or detect motion. And they have an IP66 weather-resistance rating so you can choose to situate them indoors or outside based on your preference or necessity.

Let’s break down the two styles that can connect to the DVRs: bullet and dome cameras.

DOME CAMERAS:

When you need a camera to remain hidden while it records, typically, you choose a dome camera. They are incredibly versatile, can be mounted to a ceiling, and can rotate 360° allowing them to capture a very wide area. Often, a dome camera substitutes distance for the ability to rotate and be hidden, but this is not always the case and depends on the specs of the individual model. Also, a dome camera’s wiring is hidden which makes it easier to conceal and looks neater which only matters depending on the location. Overall, dome cameras can be situated to monitor a large area, and prevent vandalism due to being harder to spot. They work very well indoors and outdoors.

BULLET CAMERAS:

Bullet cameras are perfect for any location where a specific area needs to be monitored, such as a gate, hallway, doorway, or single room. Due to being fixed, they tend to have a wider viewing angle and see longer distances than, say, a dome camera(although, this is not always true). They mount onto a wall and, due to their design, tend to be easier to spot. This is useful for situations where you want people to know they’re being recorded. Bullet cameras, all in all, are very powerful but mostly appropriate for situations where you need one spot in particular closely monitored, and make their presence known. They work wonderfully both indoors and outdoors.

CHIPSET:

HDCVI cameras contain the transmitting chip(or TX) and use the same video, audio, and configuration interfaces as the receiving chip(or RX) in the DVR. And these interfaces are all industry-standard which allows for compatibility with any peripheral equipment or ISP(Image Signal Processor). The HDCVI specification allows these cameras to record at one of four frame rate formats: 25fps, 30fps, 50fps, and 60fps.

The cameras have a switch control cable(2 pigtail wires) that can be twisted together causing a short which makes the cameras output only standard definition video. This also allows for one to utilize the video output signal through a hand-held device rather than through the DVR/Monitor(s). In addition, they have a power and video cable connectors.
