Amcrest NVR's have feature a built-in security feature that will audibly alert you when an abnormality within the system is detected. These event abnormalities can range from HDD(hard drive) or No Disk errors, Network errors, or User errors such as illegal logins to the system.
In this article you will learn how to disable the HDD buzzer on your Amcrest NVR. This will disable the audible buzzer alert from your system when not using a HDD or if a HDD is not detected properly on the system. Step 1: From a computer or laptop access the web UI for your device and login with the username and password associated with your NVR. For more information on how to access your device locally on a laptop or PC, please click here If this is your first time logging in, the default username and password will be admin.
Step 2: In the web UI, navigate to the settings menu (gear wheel) in the upper right hand corner of the screen and click on, Alarm.
Step 3: In the Abnormality menu, uncheck the item labeled Enable. This will disable the buzzer noise.
Step 4: Once the buzzer checkbox has been disabled, click on the Save button to save your configuration. The NVR's HDD buzzer is now disabled.
