How To Use Smart Object Detection (IP8M-FCB2996EW-AI)

Smart Object Detection allows the user to configure more detailed IVS features such as an abandoned object or missing object rule. 

Step 1: Open a web user interface (Web UI) of your device and log in. For more information on how to access the web UI, click here.

Step 2: Access the main menu and click on AI. Select a General or Schedule plan, if you would like more information on how different intelligence modes work on your camera, click here.

Step 3: Click Next. Select Smart Object Detection from the Smart Plan menu and click Next

Setting an Abandoned Object Rule

The abandoned object rule allows the camera to trigger an event if an object is placed in a set area for a specified amount of time. These can be items such as luggage, bag, box, etc., or other objects such as a non-motor vehicle. 

Step 1: In the Smart Object Detection menu, click Add Rule and select Abandoned Object

Step 2: Use your mouse to draw a detection area on the interface. Ensure the correct Target Type is selected and enter the minimum duration. If anything is left sitting in this area for the minimum duration set, the rule will be triggered.

Step 3: Set any additional settings such as a siren, email alerts, etc. that can be set to trigger once an event is detected. Click Apply to set the settings to the camera.

Setting A Missing Object Rule

Missing Object allows the user to set a region around an object and if the object is moved or missing from the set region an alarm will be triggered. These can be items such as luggage, bag, box, etc., or other objects such as a non-motor vehicle.

Step 1: In the Smart Object Detection menu, click Add Rule and select Missing Object
