How To Set Night Vision Toggling

Toggling night vision settings on your device can be done through either the web user interface on a laptop or PC or on the Amcrest View Pro app. For more information on how to adjust the night vision settings, please refer to the information provided below.

Amcrest View Pro App

The fastest method of toggling the night vision settings for your device would be through the Amcrest View Pro app. For more information on how to set up your camera on the Amcrest View Pro app, please refer to the included quick start guide that came with the device, or by simply clicking here to access the document.

Step 1: Once the camera is set up in the Amcrest View Pro app, you will notice a list of setting options at the bottom of the screen. Move the carousel to the right to access additional app settings.

Step 2: You will notice a moon-shaped icon. Tap on the icon to toggle the night vision on or off.

Toggling Night Vision in the Web UI

A secondary method for toggling night vision can be on the web user interface (web UI) on a laptop or computer. For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.

Step 1: Once you have logged into the web UI, navigate to Setup>>Camera>>Configuration>>Night Vision.

You will notice a list of options in this menu. Below is a description of these options:

Profile: This dropdown box allows the user to select which profile to modify. The 3 options are Day, Night, and Normal. Normal relates to both day and night time profile settings.

Mode: This dropdown box allows the user to select whether to turn the night vision on or off. SmartIR can also be set to automatically set the camera’s IR lights to on and off positions based on Day & Night conditions. This setting is usually set by default within the camera.

Step 2: To toggle night vision, select which profile type you would like to modify and use the options in the Mode field to toggle the settings.

To reset to default settings, click the Reset Defaults button. To refresh the screen, click on Refresh. To save the settings, click the Save button.

Note: Some camera models may feature the night vision toggle settings directly in the configuration menu as opposed to a separate submenu.

The same concept to toggle night vision will apply to these model cameras as well.
