How To Upgrade Firmware On a Legacy Helix NVR

Keeping the firmware on your NVR up to date is an important part of overall system health. For security purposes, it is highly recommended to upgrade the firmware on your device every time a new firmware is available. Step 1: Open a web browser and log into your device. For more information on how to access the web user interface (web UI) for your device, click here.

Step 2: Click the Settings icon and select System and click Get Latest, This will take you to a firmware downloads website. Be sure to subscribe to access the firmware downloads page for your device. Locate and download the firmware file for your model and save it to your computer. 

Step 3: Return to the Update menu and select Update. Locate the firmware file that was downloaded on your computer and click Open. Allow the device to upgrade.
