How To Add An Amcrest Camera Into An AMLINK NVR

A third-party camera, such as an Amcrest camera, can be added into the device using the Amcrest protocol. Please note, when adding third-party devices into the NVR, options such as IVS and other options may be limited. Before proceeding, make sure your Amcrest camera is initialized and on the same network while adding it to the NVR. 

Step 1: Open a web browser and log into your device. For more information on how to access the web user interface (web UI) for your device, click here.

Step 2: Click on Camera and access the Camera Registration menu. 

Step 3: Click Search Device, select your devices from the device list and click Add. The device may default to ONVIF. To use the Amcrest protocol to add your camera, click the Edit icon. In the Modify menu, select Amcrest in the Protocol field. Enter the password for your camera and click OK. 

Step 4: Verify the connection status. The status should be green indicating the device is successfully connected to the NVR. If it is red, please make sure to verify the camera's password in the modify menu.
