How to Factory Reset the AD1-Chime

Before performing a factory reset of the device it is recommended to remove the chime from your Amcrest Smart Home account. This will ensure that the device is not linked to your account and the device can be properly reset. For more information on how to remove and factory reset the device, please refer to the information provided below. 

Removing the Chime From Your Account. 

The chime will not be visible on the device list menu on your account. To remove the chime, please refer to the information provided below. 

Step 1: Log into the Amcrest Smart Home app, and on the device menu, click on Account

Step 2: Tap on My Devices

Step 3: Select AD1-Chime

Step 4: Tap on Delete Device to remove the chime from your account.

How to Factory Reset the Chime

Ensure the device is plugged into a wall outlet and is powered on and locate the factory reset hole on the side of the device. Please note, you will need a safety pin or similar device to perform the reset.

Insert the pin (or similar device) into the hole, press and hold the reset button down for 10 seconds. A blue light will illuminate and then turn off. The device will automatically reboot and restore to its original factory default settings and can be readded back onto the account if necessary.
