How to Modify Password Security Questions on a DVR

Security questions are used as a secondary means of accessing your system if you have forgotten your password. Security questions are typically created during the initial setup of the device however these questions can be modified. For security purposes, you will need direct local access to the device to reset the security questions.  Please make sure the device is hooked up VGA or HDMI to a monitor and a USB mouse is connected to the device. Step 1: Log into your device. 

Step 2: On the main menu, click on the Account option located in the Management section. 

Step 3: In the User menu, locate the user you would like to modify and click the Edit icon. 

Step 4: Click on Security Questions.

Step 5: If security questions are already set, click the Delete button to begin modifying the questions. Use the question dropdown menus to select security questions and enter the answers in the answer fields. Click the Setting button to save your security question settings.
